Filing a PSA and Unenrolling from Current School
Filing or Renewing a PSA For Your Student
All CLA students are considered homeschool students. Families are required to file a new Private School Affidavit or renew their Private School Affidavit between October 1st and 15th with the CA Board of Education. Below are the official PSA instructions as well as a PDF for CLA families to use as a guide. Please email CLA a copy of you PSA confirmation documents by October 15th.

Unenroll From Current School
All families will need to unenroll from their current school in writing to enroll in CLA. Below is a sample letter that can be used to mail or email your student's former principal to give them notice.
Request Records from Previous School
All families will need to request all student records from their student's previous school. This must be done in writing or email. The letter should be from the student's PSA and signed by the parent as the PSA school administrator. It is suggested to create a simple PSA letterhead to use.
Student Supplies List
CLA students will be out and about all day. It is important to have all supplies listed.
Clothing
- Comfortable active wear for all types weather
- Hiking shoes
- Rain jacket
- Waterproof pants
- Warm jacket
- Beanie, scarf, gloves, hat
- Change of clothes in backpack
Equipment
- Hiking backpack that has support for body and that can hold a yoga mat and all supplies
- Yoga mat
- Water bottle
- Sun protection
- Lunch box and utensils
Academic
- Pen/pencils
- Laptop or tablet with keyboard
- Library Card
